International Survey on the Impacts of the New EU Organic Regulation on Smallholder Supply Chains From Third Countries

The new EU organic regulation N° 2018/848 brings substantive changes to the EU import system and for all organic operations, in particular for all organic producer groups in Third countries wishing to export organic products to the EU from 2025 onwards.
The Swiss Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) is conducting a study on the impacts of the new EU organic regulation on smallholder supply chains from developing and emerging countries and the effects that this is expected to have on the EU organic market. The study is conducted with financial support from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
To better understand the coming effects of the new EU organic regulation N° 2018/848, FiBL - in collaboration with IFOAM - Organics International - launched a global survey in three different versions for different stakeholders.
