Join the Organic Food for a Sustainable Future Conference
The International Research Association for Organic Food Quality & Health (FQH) is excited to share with you an invitation to join a 3-day conference, next 11 November in Copenhagen, centering on organic principles to build a more global, sustainable, and resilient food system, with a focus on dialogue, collaboration, and action.
This event offers a unique opportunity through a series of presentations, panel discussions, focus groups, and celebratory social gatherings. Come and engage with leading experts, researchers, policymakers, and enthusiasts to discuss the crucial role of organic food in shaping a sustainable future, including the sustainability and nutritional benefits of organic food, market trends, consumer awareness, and regulatory frameworks.
FQH is a non-profit network of institutional and individual research members meeting across all issues concerning organic post-farmgate and is a founding partner with IFOAM – Organics International and BERAS International of the Organic Food System Program, a core initiative of the United Nations Sustainable Food System Program. The partners share common goals of promoting sustainable agriculture, improving food quality and safety, and enhancing human health and well-being. Collaboration and mutual support between these fields can contribute to the development of more resilient, equitable, and health-promoting food systems.
The conference features a variety of activities designed to:
- facilitate the exchange of knowledge among all participants regarding organic food quality, food culture, dietary patterns, health and well-being;
- identify scientific knowledge gaps related to organic food systems and explore avenues for filing these gaps through research and innovation and;
- highlight the role of organic food systems to the green transition and mitigating challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss and soil degradation.
The event will provide ample networking activities for participants to connect with fellow researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the formation of partnerships to advance the organic food agenda. The conference is open to a global audience. Participation is in person. The language of the conference is English.
